Depart from Kampala in the evening and arrive in Nairobi the next morning. Nairobi City & Wildlife Experience
Tour Details
This 4-day Nairobi city and wildlife experience blends urban exploration with wildlife encounters, offering a memorable adventure in Kenya’s vibrant capital. Depart from Kampala in the evening and arrive in Nairobi the next morning. Highlights include the Museum of Illusions, Nairobi National Park, the Giraffe Centre, David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, and Uhuru Gardens. Optional city explorations can be added if time allows after the main activities of the day.
Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi & Museum of Illusions
Depart Kampala in the evening for Nairobi with healthy stopovers for snacks and stretching. Arrive in Nairobi mid-morning, check in at your hotel, enjoy lunch, and relax.
In the evening, visit the Museum of Illusions for interactive exhibits and fun photo opportunities. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Optional: If time allows, take a short drive around the city, visit nearby malls, or explore cafés.
Day 2 Nairobi National Park Safari & Giraffe Centre
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Nairobi National Park, spotting lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species set against the Nairobi skyline.
Return to the city for lunch, then head to the Giraffe Centre for an up-close encounter with endangered Rothschild giraffes and learn about their conservation.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Optional: After the main activities, enjoy a short drive around the city or visit additional local attractions.
Day 3 David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust & Uhuru Gardens
After breakfast, visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, famous for its elephant orphan rescue program. Witness the baby elephants during feeding time and learn about Kenya’s wildlife conservation initiatives.
Proceed to Uhuru Gardens, Kenya’s historic national monument, featuring landscaped lawns, monuments, and open spaces for walking, photos, and light exploration.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Optional: If time permits, take a short city drive to explore additional attractions or local markets.
Day 4 Return to Kampala
After breakfast, check out and begin the return journey to Kampala with stopovers for meals and refreshments. Arrive in Kampala in the evening, concluding your 4-day Nairobi city and wildlife experience.

"I went to Uganda with my sister and her friend and we had such a great time there! Went rafting on the Nile (which was a BLAST by the way, if you ever get the chance to go, just go, you won't regret it), hiked up Mt. Gahinga, repelled next to Sipi Falls ( It's 100 meters high and has an amazing view once you get over your fear of heights!), took a tour of the Nile on a boat, went to Murchison Falls, and then a day in Kampala. Would definitely recommend going there if you can. Getaway Tours is a great way to schedule what you want to do."

"I took a friend and me on a 3-day Murchison Safari where we stayed in Fort Murchison and saw the Falls, had 2 game drives and a boat ride. Our guide was always diligent and punctual, drove safely, and his matatu vehicle with open roof is well suited for Safari, providing a great 360 degree viewing and photography experience. Afterwards we wanted to visit the west of the country, and he brought us in touch with a friend based in Fort Portal who drove us through the entire western Uganda (Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi Gorilla Trekking, Lake Bunyoni) also for a very competitive price. Overall our experience was excellent and we had a really great time."
